I waited until October for this one in order to give the movie its best chance.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been a hater of this movie in the past, I&#8217;ll admit it, but this time around I found more merit in it. The movie has really grown on me in a way that I never would&#8217;ve thought it could after watching it for the first time. I realized there&#8217;s no use comparing this version to the original because in no world will this remake win. With that mindset, I actually enjoyed this movie.<\/p>\n<p>While I still think it&#8217;s way too long, the Michael-as-a-kid section of this movie sets a foundation for what comes later. The general consensus states that what makes Michael Myers scary is that he doesn&#8217;t have a reason for his evil, but maybe <em>this <\/em>Michael should. We&#8217;re dealing with a different beast in the Zombie movie. If there&#8217;s one thing we know about his movies, it&#8217;s that he likes to show a lot. But I really think this works for this type of gritty movie.
